Course Description: Learn how to provide evidence-based care for infant and early childhood oral health. This course covers AAPD guidelines, chronic disease prevention strategies, and the role of social determinants of health in shaping family-centered dental care.
Learning Objectives:
1. Make literature based informed clinical decisions with regards to infant oral health in the Prenatal , postnatal, and early childhood phases of development.
2. Understand the contemporary American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) guidelines on the management of oral disease with emphasis on a chronic disease prevention model.
3. Be able to apply and understand social determinants of health with familial applications to oral health.
