Course Description: Suspected bitemarks are often found during the course of criminal investigations. Impressions of the teeth can be found on food, objects and human skin. The examination and analysis of the resultant patterned injury is the responsibility of the forensic odontologist. This discipline remains one of the most controversial areas of forensic odontology. This webinar will introduce the participant to the fundamentals of bitemark analysis focusing on scientific and legal issues supplemented by case examples.
