Course Description: Forensic Odontology is the application of the law to the field of dentistry. Dental identification is one of the most common services requested and remains one of the most prevalent forms of victim identification. A forensic odontologist can rapidly obtain positive identification which is vital for legal and emotional closure. Comparative dental identification can be used for individuals or in mass disaster situations. This webinar will introduce the participant to the basics of forensic dentistry and look at the processes involved in comparative identifications with case examples.
